See a sample letterOur optional pack prepares documents. It does not buy legal advice, a solicitor review or a guaranteed outcome. Your deposit scheme’s dispute service is free. We do not sell disrepair leads.
Is this legal advice?
No. We provide general information and self-help document preparation. We are not a law firm, do not assess legal merits and do not represent you. For advice about your circumstances, use a qualified housing adviser or solicitor.
Can I dispute my deposit for free?
Yes. Government-approved deposit schemes offer a free dispute resolution service, subject to their rules and deadlines. Our £19.99 pack is optional help with organising and writing your case. You submit the dispute yourself.
Does this work anywhere in the UK?
Our free directory points renters to guidance across the UK. Paid document packs currently cover eligible private tenancies in England only. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have different housing laws.
Will you send the letter or submit the dispute?
You review, download and send the letter yourself. We organise your evidence; we do not submit to TDS, DPS, mydeposits, a court or your landlord on your behalf.
How are landlord reviews checked?
Every submitted review goes into a moderation queue. We check for personal information and content that breaches our policy before publication. A signed-in submission is not proof that every statement is correct. Businesses can report a review or request a right of reply.
What if I have an urgent eviction problem?
Do not wait for an automated document. Contact a qualified housing adviser, your council’s homelessness team or a solicitor promptly. Keep all notices and court papers and check deadlines.
